Like all Web 2.0 enthusiasts (or internet addicts as some offline people would say) I welcome various social networks. We have to try most of them. Why? Because we do not know if we would like it, hate it or remain ambivalent about it and eventually forget all about it.
My last entry mentioned Utterz where we can leave a voice micro-blog or upload a video of us (or anything else) photos, links, or whatever we desire.
The other night, I decided to read through a few blogs courtesy of BlogRovr. I found Others Online and naturally, my first instinct was to click that "join now" link.
In any case, I have no idea what the hell I am doing there. Add to that, I cannot log in via the blasted Toolbar which irks me to no end. This kinda reminded me of the Pownce and Mozilla Firefox problem. Anyone using IE was not able to upload their avatars and there were a few disgruntled peoples. Some actually relented and downloaded FF so all is good.
I do not know if the Toolbar failure is due to my running Vista as opposed to the more popular and widely used XP or if it is a bug or whatever...
Well, if any of you readers happen to decide to join Others Online, running Vista (or not) downloaded and utilised the Toolbar OR if you can find any reason at all why there is even such a site, feel free to clue me in?
Thank you. :)
